Job Description
Join the dedicated Nanaimo Assertive Community Treatment team as a General Psychiatrist. Provide vital psychiatric care and support for individuals facing severe mental health challenges.
In this permanent role, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering intensive, community-based services. You will conduct thorough assessments, prescribe medications, and develop personalized treatment plans for clients with severe mental illness and associated substance use disorders. Your expertise will help decrease hospitalizations and improve clients’ quality of life through outreach services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for clients
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications
• Collaborate with team members to create individualized treatment plans
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services
• Engage clients in community settings for care delivery
