Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) essential.
- Trade qualification (Boilermaker, Fitter & Turner, or similar) advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a steel service centre or steel processing environment.
- 23 years supervisory experience.
- Practical exposure to: hi-def plasma cutting, laser cutting, bending / press brake operations (beneficial).
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of steel grades, tolerances, and processing requirements.
- Basic production planning and reporting computer literacy (ERP systems, Excel basic).
- Complete daily production and shift reports.
- Record downtime, scrap, and rework.
- Communicate production performance and issues to management.
- Enforce compliance with the OHS Act and company safety procedures.
