Position Summary

The Opportunity:  Skagit Valley College is accepting applications for associate faculty to teach for the Academic Education Department.The purpose of posting this position is to build a pool of qualified instructors interested in teaching classes in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for the Environmental Conservation program. The Environmental Conservation program prepares students who are degree-seeking in an Associate’s degree (AAS-T) and Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Conservation as well as GIS certificate-seeking students.BAS degrees as well as associates and certificates at Skagit Valley College operate on a cohort model and follow a spiral instructional design. The spiral design means that the curriculum is integrated within each quarter and between quarters.
