Responsibilities
Field Scouting and Data Collection: Monitoring crops for pests, weeds, and diseases, and conducting soil and water samples.Field Trials and Research: Assisting with the design, planting, and management of research trials, including testing new fertilizer regimes or seed varieties.Data Analysis: Using Microsoft Excel and agricultural software to compile and interpret trial data for technical reports.Client Support: Assisting experienced agronomists with grower meetings, promoting sustainable farming practices, and providing technical advice.Equipment Management: Calibrating field equipment and managing seed stocks.Sustainability Focus: Researching and promoting environmentally sound practices to improve soil health and water conservation.Qualifications
