**Job Description**

**The Division of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine has an excellent opportunity for a temporary Grants and Contracts Manager.** This position oversees and facilitates the clinical research, translational and basic science research programs in the Division of Nephrology, including the Kidney Research Institute (KRI).

The Grants and Contracts Manager (GCM) is responsible for pre- and post-award administration for the Division of Nephrology, which includes the Kidney Research Institute. The GCM works directly with the Administrator, the Division Head, and the Director of the KRI, and provides research management expertise, review and execution of grants, contracts and subcontracts. The position has responsibility for ensuring the regulatory and fiscal accountability of the research enterprise and provides counsel to faculty and staff concerning administrative, research and fiscal processes associated with the research conducted.
