Great Plains College Sociology Lecturer

Join Great Plains College in Swift Current as a Sessional Lecturer for SOC 100: Introduction to Sociology in Fall 2026. Engage students with face-to-face and remote learning every Monday from 1:00 PM to 3:45 PM.

This position is open to qualified candidates with an M.A. in Sociology or related areas, with a Ph.D. preferred. You will facilitate discussions that cover essential sociological concepts and debates, while imparting your teaching experience to enrich the course.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and present course materials for SOC 100
• Engage students in cultural and social topics
• Assess and evaluate student understanding and performance
• Provide timely feedback on assessments and projects

Requirements:
• Minimum M.A. in Sociology or a related discipline
