Head of Claims, IMEA

We are seeking a Head of Claims for IMEA, reporting to the Global Head of Claims in Copenhagen. This role leads the management of Ocean and Logistics Maersk customer cargo and OLL claims across the region and represents claims activity in IMEA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor customer cargo claims across Ocean and Logistics, including key clients.
• Support the Global Claims Hub on complex or sensitive cases and act as an escalation point when required.
• Provide strategic legal advice and lead litigation matters.
• Integrate newly acquired businesses into Maersk’s claims structure and contribute to brand‑unification initiatives with the Global Claims team.
• Guide, feedback, and support direct reports.
• Support recovery processes against vendors led by the Global Claims Hub and engage with insurers where relevant.
