Health Care Aides assist with routine care to patients and families in a variety of settings. You will be an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team and a valued member of the community. Strong communication and organization skills will help you in Long Term Care. The HCA participates in the delivery of quality patient care by assisting with basic personal care and hygiene, lifting and transferring of patients, patient nutrition and feeding patients as necessary, changing linens, gathering equipment, restocking supplies, and portering patients and supplies as necessary. Vegreville, located 102 km east of Edmonton, has a population of 6,000 and offers a complete range of services.
