Health Technician - Dodge City CBOC PRN

Summary Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center is seeking to fill a PRN (intermittent) Health Technician position at the Dodge City, KS Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC)! Responsibilities Duties of this position includes but not limited to: Draws blood from clinic outpatients, assuring special drawing techniques and proper tubes are used and the correct amount of blond is drawn. Incumbent must be proficient in the area of phlebotomy and specimen collection. The incumbent will use the laboratory handbook as a reference. Verifies the patient as the individual denoted on lab orders and labels all tubes with patient's name, social security number, date and time to insure proper identification. Performs clinical administrative/clerical duties supporting the health care team in the treatment of patients.
