Job Description
PurposeofJob HGV Driver ToleadateamofWasteOperativesundertakingthecollectionofhouseholdandcommercialwaste.Teamswillberesponsibleforcollectinggeneralwasteorrecyclablesororganicsorbulky(special)wasteitemsfromavarietyoflocationsincludinghouses,flattedestates,shops,schools,Councilbuildingsetc. MainDuties HGV Driver TosuperviseandleadateamofWasteOperativesprovidingwastecollectionservices.Toprovideservicesinaccordancewithadailyworkschedule,givingassistedcollectionstoidentifiedresidents.Asrequired,toreturntopropertiesforlatecollectionsormissedbins. Toensureallpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)iswornandthattheworkingpracticesemployedindealingwithwasteinwheeledbins,sacksandcommunalcontainersreflectallHealth&Safetyrequirements.Asrequired,ensureallaccidentsarereported. Toensurespecialorbulkywasteitemsaremovedandloadedinaccordancewithgoodhealth&safetypractice.EnsureitemsaresortedbytypeonthevehicletoenablethemtobesafelyandcarefullyunloadedtoseparateareaswithintheCouncilsdisposalsite.Toensureelectrica...
