Job Description

Class 1 Shunter Driver (Terberg)
Location: Exeter

Our client is seeking an experienced Class 1 driver to work as a shunter, moving trailers between their haulage yard and site. A Terberg shunter (specialist shunter vehicle (also called a yard tractor or terminal tractor) designed for moving trailers around sites, yards, depots, and ports) will be used due to site inclines; familiarisation training is provided.
Role Summary
Shunting trailers on a short, fixed internal route

Moving precast concrete products, including high‑centre‑of‑gravity wall panels and wide floor slabs

Operating safely on gradients and within tight site areas

Completing basic vehicle checks and following site safety procedures
Requirements
Valid HGV Class 1 / LGV Cat C+E licence

Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards

Strong shunting or yard‑based driving experience
