Histotechnologist

We are currently looking for a Histotechnologist for a multi-year contract position supporting CDC. Since the CDC supports a wide cross-training initiative, ideally, we would like to find a Histotechnologist professional that has experience with molecular testing, specifically to conduct In Situ Hybridization and image analysis for formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues. Again, this is an ideal combination of skills and individuals with solid Histotech experience are encouraged to apply. Under this contract, the professional will independently providing the support outlined below: Process and embed human and animal tissue samples daily. Section paraffin-embedded tissue blocks daily. Prepare histologic slides using Hematoxylin & Eosin (H&E) stains daily. Perform histochemical special stains weekly. Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment daily.
