Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner

General Summary
Provides diagnosis and treatment of patients within the scope of practice as defined by all applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations, protocols, etc. and within the individual Advanced Practice Provider's (APP) particular clinical specialty area, licensure and competency level. Performs acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures as appropriate. Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
* Obtains/records initial patient histories, assesses current health status, preform physical exams, identifies problems/needs and designs comprehensive management plans for patients.
* Assesses current health status, real and/or potential health problems and identifies expected outcomes in response to management plans, reviewing data with the physician as necessary.
* Requests appropriate diagnostic and screening procedures, interpreting the results.
