POSITION SUMMARY: The host/hostess welcomes guests and seats them at tables. This position reports to the General Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide guests with menus
- Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings
- Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, or to respond to questions and complaints
- Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfers calls
- Assisting with take out guest and delivery driversa
- Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and guests’ concerns are addressed
