Job Summary

/Essential Functions: The Housekeeping Department is responsible for upholding and maintaining the cleanliness and safety standards of Ripley’s Aquarium & Attractions, regardless of the time of day or time of year.

Minimum Qualifications

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Reporting to work on time and in proper uniform.
  • Following all safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines. Including wearing proper gloves and encouraging coworkers to do the same.
  • Emptying trashcans and sanitary receptacles as well as picking up trash inside and out.
  • Keeping the entire grounds outside the facility clean and free of trash, gum, stray pine straw, etc.
  • Cleaning toilets and urinals.
  • Stocking towels, toilet tissue, soap and air-freshener.
  • Sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors.
  • Stripping and waxing hard floors.
  • Vacuuming carpet.
