Housekeeping Supervisor

Overview

All general housekeeping duties will be required within a mental health inpatient environment to set procedures and ensure the cleanliness of a hospital environment is maintained to a high standard by CoSHH, health and safety, and infection control measures.

Responsibilities

• Support and serve patient mealtimes; direct patient contact will be required.
• Prioritise and organise daily duties whilst maintaining the Trust Values.
• Work full‑time, 7 days a week; supervisors work Monday to Friday but may be asked to work weekends and bank holidays if the ward is short of housekeepers.
• Order food provisions and general stock.
• Arrange rosters to ensure cover for the whole day.
• Supervise a team of housekeepers, including the second supervisor, and conduct supervisions, appraisals, sickness reviews and ensure training is up to date.
