Work as part of a collaborative team providing housing search, placement, and stabilization services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking.
The Housing Specialist supports individuals and families in securing safe, permanent housing as quickly as possible through the Rapid Rehousing Program funded by HUD through the Connecticut Department of Housing. This role focuses on housing navigation, landlord engagement, survivor-centered advocacy, and housing stability services with a goal of housing survivors within 30 days or less.
The Housing Specialist will assist survivors with locating housing, completing applications, and navigating the leasing process while coordinating closely with Advocates to complete intake, screening, and housing assessments within 48 hours of enrollment.
