HVACR MECHANIC II

Performs complex advanced (journey-level) heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) mechanical work. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Description of Duties • Performs complex advanced (journey-level) repairs and maintenance on all air conditioning and refrigeration systems independently.• Calibrates, installs, maintains, and repairs pneumatic thermostats, air handlers, refrigeration equipment ice makers, compressors, fans, motors, water pumps, insulation, valves, boilers, and all other related equipment and devices.• Performs equipment overhauls and preventive maintenance functions to include servicing air compressors and pumps associated with HVAC equipment and systems.• Configures and installs complex HVAC electrical components, new systems and/or replaces old systems.• Completes and closes work orders (W.O) and enters time worked and materials used on portable devices.• Repairs and re...
