Indigenous-Cultural Grade 6/7 Teacher

Muscowpetung Education Center seeks a Grade 6/7 Teacher to enhance student learning through Indigenous perspectives. This contract role prioritizes project-based education in a supportive environment.
Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience. A passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create an enthusiastic classroom atmosphere are vital. Ideally, educators will honor and implement Saulteaux values and history in their curriculum while maintaining high standards in literacy and numeracy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop engaging, culturally-relevant lessons for Grades 6 and 7
• Incorporate Indigenous culture in lesson planning
• Foster student achievement in literacy and numeracy
• Practice positive classroom behavior management
• Modify teaching for students with special needs
