As a vital member of the Indigenous Justice Centre, you will work to ensure Indigenous individuals receive the legal services they deserve. Your responsibilities will involve representing clients in criminal cases and advocating for culturally appropriate alternatives. Collaboration with community support services is essential to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in criminal and child protection cases
• Advocate for alternative dispute resolution and Indigenous justice processes
• Work with support teams to address client needs
• Maintain thorough and up-to-date client documentation
• Develop relationships with legal and community stakeholders
Requirements:
• Member of a Canadian Law Society, preferably BC
• 5+ years of criminal litigation experience...
