Our client, a leader in the nuclear field, is looking for an Industrial Engineer to join their team on a long term contract in the Cambridge area.
What responsibilities you will hold include but are not limited to:
Develop accurate fabrication duration estimates by analyzing material takeoffs, design specifications, geometry, and equipment capabilities to support effective project planningIdentify and drive process improvements through capacity and utilization analysis, shop floor layout optimization, and the application of lean manufacturing principlesAnalyze production workflows by evaluating takt time, cycle time, and resource requirements to enhance efficiency, support jig design, and improve shop floor ergonomicsAssess and define maintenance strategies and capital improvement needs for key fabrication equipment, including cranes, sub-arc welders, and plasma cutting systemsPartner with equipment vendors and service provid...
