Job Description
Inspector / Machinist
- Salary: £17.70 per hour plus shift allowance at 12.5%
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Shifts: Rotational shifts: Days & Afternoons
- Location: Sheffield, S9
- Contract: Full-Time | Permanent
The Role
We’re looking for a highly detail-focused Inspector / Machinist to support inspection and CNC machining processes, ensuring all products meet strict medical and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections
- Complete DIR reports and OGP scanning
- Use precision measuring equipment (callipers, verniers, micrometers)
- Record results accurately in Excel and internal systems
- Reject and quarantine non-conforming product
- Set, load, and operate CNC machines
- Verify parts against engineering drawings and tolerances
- Complete route cards, inspection sheets, and traceability documentation
