Duties:

The Department of History at Vancouver Island University invites applications for a temporary part-time position to teach one section of HIST 207: North American Popular Culture Before World War II during the Fall semester, and one section of HIST 208: North American Popular Culture After World War II during the Spring semester.

These courses are online synchronous (Online delivery; students are required to attend at scheduled times).

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching, learning and student success through scholarship and institutional service. Successful candidates will participate in a wide range of activities outside the classroom, including student support; institutional, faculty and departmental committee meetings and other initiatives; and professional activities in keeping with their disciplines in and outside the institution.
