Insurance Accountant – Senior P&C Program Accountant opening in Tampa, Florida. Support Operations with onboarding of new programs; reconciliation of Managing General Agent (“MGA”) bordereau reporting to system linked information and work with MGA and Operations to resolve variances; ensure premium, claims, commissions, premium taxes and program related accruals are recorded in general ledger appropriately; provide support to reinsurance and operations team on verifying reinsurance contract set up in system; reconciliation of Broker/Cedant Statement of Accounts; work with reinsurance team ensuring reinsurers have information required; verify calculations of profit and sliding commissions when applicable; work closely with Treasury with regards to payment and/or identification of cash activity.
