Household name PLC seeks to recruit an experienced litigator to work as Head of Claims. This is a maternity cover for up to 14 months.

Responsibilities:

  • To supervise the team who handles public liability and other third-party claims against the business both civil and from other businesses

  • Oversee training, performance assessment and technical support to the team

  • Responsible for the conduct of complex or high value claims

  • Embed relevant framework and processes within the organisation and with insurers and external suppliers

  • Provide advice on claims risk to the business and necessary action

  • Maintain standard documentation, and ensure protocols, court rules and procedures are followed

  • Manage external advisors
