Internal Medicine Physician - NocturnistRome, New York Position OverviewA well-established, community-focused hospital in Rome, NY is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine physician (Board Certified or Board Eligible) to join its Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist. This role offers a manageable census, strong subspecialty support, and a stable 7-on/7-off schedule. Clinical Responsibilities
- Manage 5-10 inpatients per night
- Perform admissions from ED and direct admits
- Complete full histories, physicals, and diagnostic assessments
- Document in Paragon EMR
- Manage acute medical issues, including patients in an open ICU
- 24/7 intensivist consult support
- Collaborate with nursing, specialists, case management, and ancillary teams
