Journeyperson Electrician (Substation Construction) (Thunder Bay)

Job Opportunity

Our Substation group is currently looking to add Journeyperson Electricians to our growing team.

Reporting to the Substation Construction Foreman, the Journeymen Electrician will support the upgrade of a high‑voltage 230kV Substation for Hydro One and work within a live substation, ensuring construction is executed effectively and safely.

Schedule: 10‑hour days (Regular time Pay); 8 days on / 6 days off (from Wednesday to Wednesday) with a 0700AM start.

Please note: This role is for a site outside of Thunder Bay, ON. Level of Authority (LOA) is available for qualified candidates.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, steel and commissioning of medium and high‑voltage (HV) equipment including setting steel supports (gantries, H‑frames), transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear.
• Conduct high‑voltage terminations and grounding, focusing on structural integrity and electrical safety.
