Job Description
Summary
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the successful candidate will be a high functioning individual who is looking to be part of an evolving finance team in a leading Canadian animation company located in Ottawa. The Junior accountant will support vital accounting related to animation productions, working closely with the Controller and Payroll Manager. This role will require adoption of company processes run in Quickbooks Desktop and excel.
Role and Responsibilities
- Process, record, and reconcile transactions.
- Monthly cash, accounts receivable and accounts payable processing, including expense reports and credit card transactions.
- Record monthly entries and assist in the monthly, quarterly and year end close procedures, including reconciliation of prepaids and capital assets.
- Preparation of HST returns.
- Perform payroll functions and benefits administration.
