The post is appointed to provide structured training and supervised clinical development in ophthalmology, while contributing to service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to ophthalmology colleagues regarding glaucoma cases.
• Participate in the management of glaucoma emergencies as they arise.
• Contribute to glaucoma teaching for postgraduates, undergraduates and non‑medical staff.
• Participate in the on‑call rota.
• Attend ward/casualty referrals from both the Eye Unit and the General Hospital.
