Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the cleaning duties within the kitchen or food preparation area, including the cleaning of cooking and general utensils used in a restaurant and/or a kitchen. Maintain a high level of workplace hygiene and safety in the kitchen and related areas. Assist with the assembly and preparation of ingredients for cooking as required.
  • Cleaning, sanitation and storage of all cutlery, crockery, kitchen equipment and appliances, using wither industrial washing machines or hand washing as appropriate.
  • Cleaning of walls, floors and general kitchen work spaces, working to cleaning schedule as prescribed for the area.
  • Cleaning of food storage areas including fridges, cool rooms and dry goods stores, ensuring that principles of food hygiene are being observed; report any hazards or problems to Executive Chef.
