Job Description
LAN, WLAN and IPT Field Services Engineer, L1
- Implement, and maintain network infrastructure
- Determine network bandwidth needs and recommend measures to meet those requirements
- Install appropriate data communications components configured to meet the company’s needs
- Configure switches, routers and other network hardware
- Follow, document, and enforce system standards
- Maintain knowledge of various network technologies including LANs, WANs, WLANs, SANs, and VoIP networks
- Network Routing Basics: RIP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP and VRF
- Network Switching: VLAN, VLAN trunking, STP, PVSTP, SPAN, VTP, port channel
- IP Services Basics: HSRP, VRRP, NAT, NTP, SNMP, DHCP, WCCP, IP SLA, NETFLOW
- Switch Port mgmt.
- Network Access Control Management
- Wlan management and maintenance
