Reporting to the Support Services Manager, the Lab Technician I oversees daily lab activities, ensuring instruments are functional and tests are assigned based on workload. Key responsibilities include performing physical measurements on tobacco products, organizing inventory, and maintaining strict adherence to laboratory policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mark and organize cigarettes according to pull sheets
• Record and count product inventory daily
• Prepare whole tobacco samples for analytical testing
• Ensure equipment calibration and readiness
• Comply with health and safety protocols
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Laboratory Technician diploma/degree considered an asset
