About the position:
The Lactation Consultant is a member of the Mother/Baby nursing team and is responsible for educating and supporting mothers who plan to breastfeed, monitoring of infants at risk for delayed breastfeeding, and assisting the mother/infant pair with feeding and bonding. Responsibilities include staff education, assisting with departmental policy and procedure development and evaluation, monitoring outcomes related to breast-feeding and infant nutrition and participation in continuing education and professional development activities.
