Lead Host
$18-21/hr tips included
Ocean Palace is a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant srunning a large waitlist (often 30+ parties during peak) and a busy takeout operation. We’re hiring a Lead Host to own the front door, keep the host stand organized, and lead the team through peak hours with calm, clear control.
This is not a “senior greeter” role. You are the traffic controller for guests, seating, and communication.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and direct a team of 5–6 hosts during peak hours
- Manage the waitlist (often 30+ parties during peak), quotes, updates, and guest communication
- Maintain accurate wait times by monitoring table turns and pacing
- Assign host stand stations (door/waitlist, takeout support) and adjust staffing as volume changes
- Handle guest escalations professionally (long waits, large parties, complaints)
