Lead Recreation Assistant

Summary This position is located on Norfolk Naval Base located in Norfolk VA with Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, Community Programs. The purpose of this position is to provide a variety of duties in support of the recreation and/or internet facilities serve as duty manager as assigned in the liberty programs. Responsibilities Serves as duty manager to ensure the facility is functioning in a smooth, safe and effective manner. This includes serving as point of contact to assigned subordinate staff, assuring tasks are in process/complete providing necessary supplies and resolving minor problems and complaints of the employees. May make recommendations to the supervisor in regard to work performance of assigned staff. Upon arrival, the incumbent checks the work Schedule, taking note of on-call personnel for emergency needs.
