Job Description
Outreach Tutor – Canvey Island (Starting September 2026)
TeacherActive is seeking passionate and dedicated Outreach Tutors to support students across Canvey Island. The role involves working with children and young people who may be out of mainstream education, requiring additional support to help them engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes. Tuition may take place in students’ homes, community settings, or local schools.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and personalised lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Support students with SEMH needs, SEND, anxiety, or those at risk of exclusion.
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence and progress.
- Plan and adapt learning activities to suit different abilities and learning styles.
