The Department

The Department of Communication is a robust major of approximately 100 majors at Cal Poly Humboldt with a dedicated faculty and engaged student body. We also teach the core oral-communication course required of all Cal Poly Humboldt Students. We have a single major and two minor options: Communication and Social Advocacy. The Department of Communication houses the Debate and Forensics team and the Communication Club. We are located in the majestic redwoods near the Pacific Ocean in a rural county approximately 300 miles north of San Francisco.
