Legal Counsel – Legal Services

Alberta Blue Cross has an opening for an experienced permanent full time legal professional to join our growing Legal Services department as Legal Counsel. As the successful candidate, you support the Legal Services team in delivering practical, timely legal advice across Alberta Blue Cross.

Reporting directly to the Vice President and General Counsel, the successful candidate will play a key role in proactively identifying, managing, and controlling legal and operational risks, with particular focus on privacy and data protection matters while providing practical, solution-oriented advice to stakeholders across the organization. Working closely with the Privacy, Benefit Services, Human Resources and Claims Assurances departments, this role serves as a trusted advisor to the business, delivering practical and strategic legal guidance. A strong grounding in privacy law is essential, complemented by experience in insurance, litigation and/or employment law.
