Job Description
We are currently hiring a Junior Librarian to join our team at the Gujrat City Library. As a Junior Librarian you will assist in managing the library's collection, providing customer service to library patrons, and promoting library resources and programs.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, magazines, and other materials
- Assist with cataloging and processing new materials
- Help patrons locate resources and answer reference questions
- Promote library programs and events through social media and in-person interactions
- Assist with circulation tasks such as checking books in/out, collecting fines, and issuing library cards
- Monitor the condition of materials and report any damages or missing items
- Keep the library clean and orderly including shelving books and other materials
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior librarians
