LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE IN THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES-FLOAT POOL FULL TIME EVENINGS MONDAY-FRIDAY AND EVERY OTHER WEEKEND:PM-:PM

Under supervision of a professional nurse, renders nursing care to patients and performs related work as required and within the limits of training.

PATIENT CARE

Collects data from patient, family or significant others and records on Initial Data Base form.

Contributes to the formulation and updating of plan of care and implements plan of care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Gives direct nursing care to assigned patients (e.g., medications, treatments, dressing changes, TPR) according to established standards.

Recognizes changes in patient condition and responds appropriately, notifying charge nurse as needed.

Documents pertinent information regarding patient's responses and nursing interventions in patient's medical record.

Administers medication according to hospital policies.
