Job Description

Lifeguard training will be provided by Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park.
SUMMARY
The Lifeguard has a legal duty to protect the safety of people in an assigned area. The Lifeguard has a professional obligation to prevent potential accidents by enforcing the rules and regulations of an aquatic setting and to react to any emergencies that occur.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must have good eye-hand coordination.
Must be able to read, and interpret printed material and illustrations.
Anticipate how and where incidents will occur
Recognize incidents utilizing the “10/20 Protection Rule”
Effectively manage the incidents with skills that must be maintained at a “test-ready” level, including,
Professional Rescuer CPR
ILTP Lifeguard Skills
Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider; AED, First Aid, Oxygen Administration
Think critically about the complications that might be present in real situations...
