Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and kitchen standards.
- Assist with food preparation including chopping, marinating and portioning ingredients.
- Ensure proper food presentation and portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of cooking stations.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Assist with stock rotation and ingredient storage.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team during service.
Experience & Qualification
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) advantageous.
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
