Position Summary:
The University is seeking a skilled and reliable Locksmith/Maintenance Worker II to join our Facilities team. This position is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining locks and related hardware, cutting keys, and performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled building repair and construction tasks. The ideal candidate will be an experienced locksmith with a strong foundation in general building maintenance and a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our campus.
Essential Functions:
+ Maintain and repair all locks and keying systems.
+ Develop and maintain a key inventory system by door, lock, pinning and building.
+ Develop and maintain a computer data base to support the key inventory system.
+ Develop and maintain floor plans identifying the doors and related hardware of the campus buildings.
