The role of a Locum Consultant in Emergency Medicine is challenging yet rewarding, we are one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the country and see the highest number of Ambulance arrivals in the North West. We run three sites including the main Emergency Department, Paediatric Emergency Department and Urgent Treatment Centre at the Royal Blackburn site, the Urgent Treatment Centre at the Burnley General Hospital site and an Emergency Nurse Practitioner lead Minor Injuries Unit at Accrington Acorn Centre
