Job Description
This is responsible, professional work in the field of nursing in an acute care, outpatient, or ACT team setting.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Provide nursing services on a PRN basis as scheduled.
Be available to work at least 20 hours a month, up to 40 hours per week depending on need.
Function as a support agent to all clients in acute care programs, supervising their day-to-day activities in accordance with the established schedule and procedures of the program.
Assist the psychiatrist and physician in monitoring clients receiving psychotropic medications, ordering supplies and medications as needed, and documenting inventory.
Assist in evaluating the clients' general medical and mental status.
Assist attending physician in performing routine medication checks on acute care units.
Administer intramuscular medications as ordered by the doctor.
