LPN Inpatient - Neuro PCU (Open)

This unit specializes in the step-down level of care of non-traumatic brain injuries and other diagnoses that include but not limited to Ischemic and Hemorrhagic Stroke, Seizure Disorders, Brain Tumor/Cancer, and Neuromuscular Conditions. This unit will also include the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. The LPN (inpatient) practices practical nursing within the parameters set forth in Carilion Clinics Plans for the Provision of Patient Care and functions under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. Partners with the RN in collecting data, planning, implementing and evaluating patient/resident care.
