Job Description
Responsibilities
- Able to operate lathe machine/ drilling machine & milling machine
- Perform machining works as per drawings and specs
- Identify and provide machining process improvement
- Performs minor programming or program editing at machine controls if needed
- Independently selects the correct tooling to do the job
- Gathers required tooling and fixture or places order if necessary
- Sets‑up machine as required using prescribed manufacturing instruction sheet and program
- Calculates speeds, feeds and depths of cuts for machining
- Uses material handling equipment to move parts and components to and from work area
- Ensure all production records/reports are updated
- Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
- Update/highlight to Production Supervisor on job status and any non‑conformance raised
