Maintenance Mechanic

Summary This position is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 10) Battle Creek VA Medical Center. The incumbent to the position works within the Structural Maintenance Section of Facilities Management Service and works under the direct supervision of the Structural Maintenance Section Supervisor. Responsibilities The duties of the position may include but, are not limited to: Carpentry: Construction, alteration, repair or modification of items or structures including, but not limited to walls, ceilings, flooring systems, framework, rafters, doors, hardware, paneling, windows, furniture, interior and exterior trim, staircases, trusses, beams, cabinets, countertops, and interior & exterior signage.
