About the role
Christchurch Engine Centre is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Tradesperson to provide facilities and maintenance support across all business operations. This is a hands‑on role that involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant, equipment, and site facilities. This is a full-time permanent position, based in Christchurch.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general fitting, repair, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors working on site.
- Maintain equipment, plant, buildings, and associated infrastructure.
- Support site housekeeping and maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage permit‑to‑work activities, including confined space entry and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes.
- Carry out equipment inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct electrical testing in accordance with NZS 3760 requirements.
