TITLE: StaffMammography Technologist

JOB OVERVIEW: The incumbent performs a variety of technical procedures (high quality screening mammography, complete diagnostic work-up, wire localizations for surgical biopsy, galactograms, and stereo biopsy) that require skill, independent judgment and ingenuity. Is directly involved in facilitating patient throughput and directs a variety of cross trained staff in other service areas as needed. Performs and directs other duties necessary for the daily operation of the department.

SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS: Position requires advanced positioning skills, a complete knowledge of breast anatomy and pathology, and the ability to interact with the patient in a caring and professional manner.
